CLIENT AND TASK
Orekhprom is a European-level Russian company engaged in the processing of nuts and the production of fillings. It cooperates with major manufacturers of confectionery, chocolate, ice cream and dairy products. The company has developed a full production cycle and even has its own plantations as an image project with great prospect.
The manufacturer turned to DS1 to update its visual identity: to make it more trendy and modern, appropriate to the scale of the company, as well as to develop a unified corporate identity system.
WHAT HAS BEEN DONE
— Both the market and the company were analyzed to determine a direction for the identity that will support the character and values of the brand, at the same time making it more relevant,
— the unified design system, the logo and corporate identity, has been developed for Orekhprom,
— the Guide for the Corporate Identity Application, Image and Souvenir Product Design has been prepared, so that it allows marketers and designers of the company to easily work with a new design.
PRODUCT AND AUDIENCE
Orekhprom works with the B2B and B2C segments but the business direction is the mainstay for the company and, accordingly, its corporate identity. Hazelnuts account for 50% of the turnover, but, except for it, Orekhprom processes other nuts, produces fillings for confectionery and dairy products.
The company is growing and developing, being focused on clients who prioritize the quality of the products supplied. The brand’s character is stable and robust but limited formalism. It is active, dynamic and appreciative of partnership.
CLIENT’S DESIRE
Despite the need to rebrand, Orekhprom considered it important to:
— preserve the image of hazelnuts as the core product in its identity,
— abandon unrealistic stock images and technological shades unnatural for the food industry,
— get away from outdated brown and develop a single logical design system.
LOGO AND CORPORATE IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT
DS1 has developed a laconic and conservative font logo that reflects a confident and moderately serious character. The serif font letters design specially used by the DS1 team properly emphasizes the premium character of the brand.
The corporate palette is based on brown shades, but deeper and more complex, corresponding to the image of a robust, dynamic and active business partner. The decision was to abandon the literality and simplicity. The designers refused from a hazelnut-shaped brand name but used the image of this nut as a pattern, which adds volume and texture to the visual picture. This forms associations with the naturalness and environmental friendliness of production.
CORPORATE STYLE
DS1 considered it important that the company could use visual identity in communication with partners and in the advertising environment, strengthening its position in the market. The team offered Orekhprom a range of carriers where a permanent style will be combined with creative ideas, which will allow designing custom souvenirs for partners and maintaining the image.
